Airfield Ostafyevo is included to The List of Airdromes of joint basing of aviation of the ministries and departments of the Russian Federation” in accordance with the Russian Federation Government decree No. 952-p of July 12, 1995.
Airfield and equipment certification committee of Interstate Aviation Committee issued a certificate of conformance to Ostafyevo airport and found it qualified for international flights.
According to the Ministry of Transport order №69 of 07.06.2007 a border checkpoint was opened at Ostafyevo.
Ostafyevo airport received compliance for all types of airport activity and service support of international and domestic air operations.
The airport is granted type B category in accordance with the Civil Aviation Airdrome classification currently in force in Russia.
Ostafyevo airport handles a wide variety of aircraft – from the smallest single-engined private plane up to Falcon,Cessna, Bombardier, Gulfstream, Embraer and other class III and IV aircraft types as well as all types of helicopters all the year around, day and night.
